About
The Denver Christkindlmarket is a cherished holiday tradition, bringing the magic of a German Christmas market to the heart of Denver. With its charming wooden huts, twinkling lights, and a joyous atmosphere, the market draws visitors from near and far to celebrate the season.
History
The Denver Christkindlmarket first lit up the holiday season in December 1998 at the Denver Pavilions, starting as a small, yet joyful, event that has blossomed into a cherished tradition. As the festive spirit grew, the Market moved to Skyline Park, eventually outgrowing that space and finding its new home at Civic Center Park in 2020. Remarkably, Denver hosted the world’s only Christkindlmarket that year, using clever spacing and zoning to keep the holiday magic alive. With the collocation of VISIT DENVER's Mile High Tree since 2022, the park has truly become a holiday wonderland. Today, the Market is a beloved destination and this year promises to be more enchanting than ever!
Mission
The Denver Christkindlmarket promotes cultural exchange by bringing the traditions, foods, and crafts of Germany and Europe to Denver each holiday season. We create an inclusive, accessible event where visitors can enjoy the sights, sounds, and flavors of European markets. Embracing sustainability, we partner with organizations to reduce food waste and provide local German language students with an authentic market experience.
